alceryes,

If your head unit displays title info from CDs and/or certain FM stations that brodcast this stuff, I'd say it should work.

If not , I have a brand new '04 cassette-CD radio w/ CD-Changer controls and Mode switch to control the CD-Changer and Sirius I'd probably sell - had the RB-1 put in my wife's new Jeep last week as an option when we took delivery.

Dream2,

I can post all the details, but it is a difficult fix. You have to run a wire from the headunit in the dash, all the way to the back left corner of your PT. The Sirius receiver is behind the plastic trim panel on the left side of the cargo area.

But running the wire is not the hard part. The wire has to be inserted into the factory wire connector at the Sirius radio. There is no pin in this connector for the wire - it was ommitted, along with the necessary wire. This involves dissassembling the connector - a trick in itself, because they are not designed to come apart easily once snapped together - finding an appropriate very, very small crimp-on socket that will fit the connector, putting the pin socket in the connetor, reassembling the connector, and tapping into the Artist/Title wire at the AUX connector on the back of the radio in the dash.

I have access to a good electronics lab, and just modifying the connector at the Sirius radio took more than a hour's work. Pulling the trim panels, adding the wire, pulling the radio, and completing the job took 3 hours of not-fun work.

What I am doing is pursuing this with Chrysler. I am obtaining a new harness to see if this is a systemic problem, or peculiar to a few. It may be that they were using up a stock of 2002 wire harnesses, before Sirius was offered as a factory option, and the harness that replaced it has the correct wire. Once I obtain a replacement harness and examine it, I might have a better, more permanant solution that was not as tricky as my fix. And I might get Chrysler to do it.

I did it just to prove to the dealer that it does indeed work - after they insisted it wasn't supposed to work and it was not possible to make it work.

I'll keep you posted.
