Like QSD said, a lot of hype.
I just purchased a set of Mopar performance wires (7.5mm spiral core) and they are marked 500 ohms/foot resistance. The short ones actually measured 309-311 ohms and the long ones are 384 ohms. The specs on the OEM wires call for a range of 2360-7070 ohms for the short and 2970-8910 ohms for the long ones. As you can see by the numbers, the performance wires should last a lot longer before they "ware" to the point that they would cause a misfiring problem. I am also installing the Champion double Platinum plugs, #7570, gapped at .040-.043 again for longevity.
