Well... when I told the service manager about procedure I found on ptdiy.net that would take only a few minutes to do, he said that those fellows have a lot of time to play around and that they will replace the rails. As for the popping noise, the service manager told me that it has to get noisier for them (been in the shop 4 times), so I called Chrysler and now have a ticket open on that problem.
