Hey PTGT folks, thanks for the replies
PTGTChicK: thanks for the idea re: installing the boot before the top is all the way down, gonna try that out
Back to the BOV which I'm now then ever more convinced it ain't working right. I've taken a couple of rides with my son in the passanger seat and he doesn't hear the BOV Kit venting either.
I've already scheduled my first service (free oil change at about 700 miles) for this Friday and will have them check the BOV conversion kit install.
The mechanic who put it on has installed them in the SRT-4 and drives a SRT himself (though I don't know if he installed the kit on his car)
FWIW, the top two holes (1 each on left/right side) look clear of obstructions and I can see through those holes. The holes below them aren't as easy to see. they should also have no obstructions right?
I'll have to read Mopar's site but I would think the BOV kit has a warranty if defective and I sure as hell ain't gonna pay for a fix if it was installed wrong!
That being said, if installed wrong or defective, could it have promoted any damage to the turbo or stock BOV.
Finally, is it a good test to sit in neutral, handbrake on, and rev the engine to say around 3000-3500 RPM and hold it, then left off the gas and be able to hear a 'working' BOV (kit) vent?
Thanks in advance
