Default Torque Steer Redux

I just bought a new '05 PT Touring with automatic trans. This is my 3rd FWD car, but first which I have noticed such torque steer. Torque steer being the severe pulling to one side or the other under heavy acceleration. If I launch the car with any authority and hands off the wheel, the steering wheel turns right to around 2-o'clock and will come back to around 1-o'clock if I immediately let off the gas.

I read previous posts associating this with all FWD cars without LSD (Limited Slip Differential) and equal length half shafts. I also read where some claim spring lowering and strut brace kits have helped the PT's. So, what's the current consensus? Is this something I just have to get used to or is there something(s) that can be done to alleviate this?
