Your local law enforcement agency will no doubt look upon that as a serious no-no and, if you're lucky, give you just a fix-it-ticket.
In all seriousness, you could spray them, but I'd recommend at least taking them out and getting them away from the car before doing so. But then you'd still have the issue of trying to spray just where you want, and masking will leave a strange break line in the color that you may not want. And there's still the cops to consider.
I've thought about just inviting SakiGT to SoCal for a long weekend to perform this mod on my car. Funny, my wife said "no".[:I]
