We had an '01 Limited with a 5-speed, and it was a great car. Sure, we had to get used to the engine holding the rpm's up for a second before releasing the clutch to achieve smooth upshifts, but we eventually got used to that semi-annoying trait.
With our GT, we have to add to that the clutch slave delaying the release of the clutch (there is some kind of restrictor built into the line that slows the piston movement I'm told), and that adds another impediment to smooth driving IMHO....plus makes rev-matching on downshifts an excersize in futility

Does anyone know why this 'feature' was designed into the clutch release mechanism (assuming it's not just to torture us

) ???
