Msd Ignition Better or Worse?
Hi, I have an 05 cruiser convertible with the NA engine. I am probably one of the easiest drivers around on these things. It is a 5 speed car. Gas mileage is always at 27 MPG at the best and it is a dog on performance. I got beat by an early 90's Honda Civic with two people in it the other day. It was just me in the cruiser. I also have an 04 Neon SRT-4, what a blast! It will tear up about anything on the road. I can pull 33 MPG on it without the air on and 27-28 with the air on and hot rod it a little. I know of other cruisers pullling 30-32 on Hardtops loaded down with people. Is there anything I can do to get better mileage. I was looking at an MSD DIS-2 ignition hoping I might squeeze a little better MPG out of it. Any Experience on this? At this point I am looking at putting the turbo engine in the car. It would be much more fun to drive even if I only got 28 MPG. I a wondering if the car is just too much for the motor and it is having to work too hard to just get around. I have the donor GT cruiser so that's not a problem. Any comment would be appreciated.
