I had the Bassani on my GT. It was much louder (without baffles) than the 2.5" Borla I had on my 01 LE.
I went with a custom 2.5" system with a transverse Magnaflow muffler (straight through) which for me at least, gave a nice balance between noise, pleasant idle and acceleration sound and with minimal drone.
