You can also set the shifter in '1' and let it shift up when it feels it needs to.
I will be going to the track this wed and if I can get more than a couple of runs in I will try each. For now, to have an apples to apples comparison of pre/post S1 I plan to leave it in '1' and it will upshift when it feels the urge.
I will try a power brake start at 1,500 and maybe more depending on traction. Pre S1 I went up to 2,500. it seemed to help but with only 2 runs hard to tell.
