Hi all. I'm a newbie here. My girlfriend's 2002 auto tranny died (torque converter) after only 30K miles!!! Is this common? Her father gave it to her and of course the 3/36 warranty has ended. We can't seem to find out definitively if the 7/70 k warranty was standard in 2002...Very unhappy as you can imagine. Especially since the 1963 Chevrolet Impala I drive everyday has an old Saginaw standard 3-speed with nearly 200K and has never been rebuilt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
