No problems buddy. You've basically answered your own questions....and you thought this was all new to you!

Specifically, on your Q1: yes, you've got it exactly right

On your Q2: yep, accelerate normally to 40mph then accelerate hard enough to force a downshift from 4 to 3 or 4 to 2. Just like the instructions say, tip into the throttle, don't fully mash it down! Still, you'll have to be aggressive enough to force the downshift.

On your Q3: again, you're spot on. Do not, as in NOT, NEVER, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, not let your car shift under WOT until you've completed the quick learn. Yes, WOT is Wide Open Throttle, AKA go pedal pinned to the floorboards, standing on the gas, pick your favorite phrase. Once you've completed the quick learn you can keep your foot firmly planted on the floor - the car will pull to redline and upshift to the next gear. Feel free to do this after you've done the quick learn - but NOT before. I think that's pretty clear, don't you??

And there's no need to apologize for asking questions - ya gotta start somewhere!
