When I installed my strut brace it was bowed in the center and really interfered with the vacuum elbow. I took the brace off and bent it in the opposite direction until it was straight. This isn't that hard to do as the Aluminum bends pretty easily. After that no problem. I've seen others that are bowed up and rub on the hood insulation. Wears off the coating on the brace and makes it look tarnished. I suspect they all are a little out of true but some are worse than others. CJJ
