This is the reply I got back from my letter to Chrysler about the tranny problems...........I guess no one else ever let them know
"Any component can be subject to a defect, and often times, failure is an
isolated incident that is not indicative of a part design problem.
DaimlerChrysler routinely analyses failed parts to develop product
improvements in response to data received from dealers and the warranty
system. No evidence currently exists to suggest a quality problem with
the PT Cruiser model vehicle.
If you are experiencing a problem with your vehicle, please bring this
to the attention of the Service Management at your servicing dealership.
This will ensure that the appropriate action is pursued.
While we regret that we cannot provide a more favourable reply, we
appreciate you sharing your concerns with us."
