Road rage incident under investigation
Lower Allen Twp. police are searching for a man who drives a maroon Chrysler PT Cruiser after a crash yesterday on U.S. Route 15 that resulted from road rage, police said.
The crash occurred at 5:48 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Capital City Mall. Police said the male driver of the PT Cruiser reportedly was tailgating another motorist when he made an aggressive pass using the right lane. When the driver returned to the left lane police said his PT Cruiser struck the other vehicle, causing both of them to go out of control. Police said the driver stopped, yelled at the other motorist and then drove away.
Police said PT Cruiser had a flame design on the sides. Police said the vehicle also appeared to have Navy stickers on its windows and a dent on the drivers side door from a prior mishap. The car, police said, would have some silver paint on its body from Sundays incident.
Police described the driver as white, 40 to 50 years old. He was wearing a polo-style shirt with what appeared to be a Naval emblem on it. No injuries were reported.
