Colby, clay will do nothing for imperfections "IN" the finish. My paint cleaner is not designed to remove swirls, a more aggressive cleaner along with a buffer is the most effective method for removing swirls. I won't go so far to say its impossible to do my hand, but I will say unless you are experienced using these types of products, you can do more harm than good. It would be best to find a reputable shop near you and get them out professionally. Gary
