Gary,

When the light came on the first time, you checked the oil, right? Was it considered "full?" If so, it is more than likely a bad oil pressure sending unit. It can be an intermittent problem. Since you had an oil light, you have a stored code. Your dealer can check it out and have it replaced under warranty.

BTW, this happened to me and the replaced sending unit has been perfect since.
