[?]2step on the hot side intercooler hose I split the 3" aluminum exhaust duct hose to make installation easier, then used nylon tie wraps every inch to inch and a half along the length of the soft hose. this added support, protection and insulation.On the cool side soft hose I removed it ( after removing air cleaner box and battery), then I slipped the aluminum hose over the soft hose only splitting it at the temp & pressure fittings in front of the throttle body.Using aluminum tape I covered the split area.No clamps were used around the aluminum hose at either end as I wanted air to flow through it to act as an insulator and carry heat away.The aluminum ducting hose is cheap, 3" dia., 8 ft. long is $6.48.I have enough left over to do the job all over again.
