It's much easier and cheaper per HP to just turn up the boost. Our GT engines are pretty reliable to 400-450 HP. The few that have blown up their engines were pushing over 400 HP (closer to 500 HP)without doing internal mods (pistons, rods). Off the top of my head I remember one SRT4 tuner saying they had picked up around 20 HP by changing the cams...that sounds like fairly low return for the amount of time and $$$ involved. On the other hand if your looking for every last HP you can wring out of an engine than time and money don't matter.
One last thing about larger valves and porting...generally what you pick up on the top end you'll lose on the bottom end. You may end up being king at the race-track but you can lose your stop-light to stop-light punch.
Either way your experiance and results should be interesting...keep us posted[8D]
