UGH! bIRDS SEEM TO REALLY LOVE MY INFERNO RED CRUISER ...anyway, cleaned up another mess today and this time, the droppings had 'stained' the clearcoat ... needed to use some rubbing compound to lighten up the stains, BUT

1) the stains are still visible ... looks like water drops that have dried and etched their way into the paint
2) AND of course, the compound has left buffing marks.

I've tried glazes, waxes etc, but I can't seem to make the stains go away and I can;t seem to make the buffing marks disappear.

Any ideas??? or is this a job for a body shop????
