ChromeCruiser is correct. Don't try to just dump a GT turbo onto a NA PT. That is a receipe for diaster. Your reasonable choices are 1) install a Hahn turbo, 2) trade in the NA for a turbo or 3) leave well enough alone.

Based on another Hahn thread on this forum, Jackson Racing may now offer a 4th option, a supercharger.
I agree with you, and the Jackson Racing supercharger looks nice, but I don't think I like it. The boosted torque ratings in my option are not up to snuff. Only a 19 ft/lbs gain, but a 44 hp gain? HP is, as any person experienced with engine building knows, is basicly a gimic. Torque is where the true power lies. A car like a Honda Civic that makes 127 HP, but only 114 ft/lbs torque is just wasting power. The old beetles had very low HP ratings, but a great amount of torque so their little engines took them everywhere! I think I prefer the Hahn's and the Whipple's any day over the Jackson Racing's.

And Taylor, listen to us. I am only 33 this month, but I have been working on car for 20 years. I have swapped out engines and trannies. I have torn apart cast iron 350, 400, and 440 Chevy blocks, and completely rebuilt them. I once made a rear wheel drive car into a 4 wheel drive car by using the parts from a junked 4x4 model. But even I would not attempt what you are trying to do. To put it bluntly, The GT is are a completely different animal. It's like a wolf and a dog that look the same. Look the same, but the wolf is faster, stronger and more vicious; plus their DNA may be similar (same family) but are different at the same time. If you can get the GT engine for almost nothing, I'd tear it apart and use the internal parts for your engine, and get a Hahn's or a Whipple. Plus expect for your car to be out of comission for a good amount of time.
