ChromedCruiser/ WARNING! using a strong alkyline surfactant like 409 or simple green is way to aggressive for leather material. That is why I sell a mild leather cleaner safe for leather and vinyl. what can happen with 409 is the alkyline will dry out the leather quickly and it will start to crack and split. I don't know many safe cleaners, as I visit pep boys and auto zone often. I think meguiars makes one. always follow up with a conditioner as well. dings you can't fix yourself, dentbusters will do that for you, the process is technical, but in short they push the dent out from behind. scratches, if they don't go through the clear coat can be fixed, if they go through it, it can be improved at best. essentially you would still need experience with a buffer to do it right. you are limited to what you can do my hand, you might cover it up for a while but after a wash it will return.
