Default DYI Black housing headlights

YES: ITS ILLEGAL!!!
Lifted car, didnt remove wheels(although would have been a little easier). Removed half of the plastic well. Unplugged bulbs. Removed
4 bolts. Removed grill and bumper screws. Pushed down on bumper and played with the housing till it came out. Heat Gun. Paint and tape. Reinstall....

The final product:

I love the new look. When I removed the reflector I took carbon fiber tape (same look as tailights) and added the same shape in its place. Subtle touch. Bought a chrome looking/amber glowing bulb but frankly, the stock amber bulb looks better. Didnt paint the entire plastic piece, as I think taping off the inside makes it look like a clean, stock housing. CHROME IS FLAKY! Very easy to stratch it so anyopne attempting this should be very careful about that. I have a spot that appeared a few hours after install on the right headlight. Looks like paint, but cant be. Not noticeable. Not too concerned. Turn signal is VERY evident...stood aprox 100 feet away and could see it clearly in teh daytime. The clear case has "reflective" plastic grooves on teh corner that makes it look like there is a reflector there. More pics later. Ask away.
