I have been using Amsoil for over a year now. I have noticed that the engine runs a bit cooler than any other oil, also has battery gas milage. Even doing acouple oil changes a year is cheaper than doing a change 3000 miles.
Battery gas mileage? Now there's a new concept! But seriously, those of you with turbos need to check out Mobil 1's new 5W-40 oil. It's labeled "Truck & SUV" but started life as Mobil Delvac 1 heavy duty synthetic oil. I've seen it in Wal Mart and it will provide better hi-temp protection than any 5 or 10W-30. By the way, running 10W-30 over 5W-30 just decreases fuel mileage and takes that little bit longer to flow to the bearings on a cold start (even on 45 degree Texas mornings!).
