No no people! Please stop being cheap with your turbos! It's only a couple of cents more per gallon for god's sake! What are you going to pay extra? Even if the car was bone dry and you filled it up, it would only be about an extra $3. Most of you would only pay about $1 or $1.50 more. When you open the fuel door it even says "premium fuel recommended". Turbo's are octane hungry. In using cheap regular fuel the PCM has to compensate and you end up losing power. My GT is much happier with premium. Every once in awhile I'll throw in an octane boost, and the turbo really gets happy. I don't mean to be critical of anyone, but why would you spend so much money on a GT and then put the cheap stuff in? I have always used premium in all my cars except my 2001 PT because the manual only recommended regular. With my other cars. I always used Amoco Ultimate; it's just a cleaner gas compared to regular. I'm happy that in NY the premium is 93 octane. Please no one take it personal, but you gotta treat your car right. The manual even recommends premium. Use it! An extra dollar or two is not going to kill you or burn a hole in your pocket.
