I always had "furrin'" cars - Porsche, VW, Volvo, Honda,... Had a Volvo wagon I'd bought used, and it was getting tired when they came out with the Caravan in '84. We bought a new one and I was impressed. The kids actually cried when we sold it! Been buying Mopar since.
I bought a '92 Dodge Spirit new, and put 195,000 miles on it before transmission decided not to shift.
