Cruisers on Alligator Alley
Alligator Alley is a toll road between Naples and Ft. Lauderdale Florida. It is a part of I-75 and is about 80 miles long and cuts right through the heart of the Florida Evergaldes. I usually average about 80 MPH , so the trip from toll booth to toll booth takes 1 hour give or take a few minutes. Today I was returning home from a trip to the Tampa Bay area and I decided to let my girlfriend drive the final leg across Alligato Alley. Right after we passed the toll booth getting on the Alley I saw 3 PT Cruisers passing us going westbound. Then I saw 2 more. 5 PT's within the first 5 minutes.
Then I started thinking how many will we pass in one hour. So I started counting........By the way, the whole weekend, whenever either one of us would see a PT, we would point it out to the other. Are we weird or do other people do this??? We saw many nice PT's on the West Coast........Anyway, After such a fast start, I was hoping to count at least 25 Cruisers on the Alley....but the total was 19, which I still think is alot of Cruisers!!!!
By the way....the hour flew by and it was the most fun I've ever had on that boring strech of road. I'm 52 years old and was playing a kids game counting cars....I owe this all to my PT....what a joy!
