Gonzo,

Did the hose plug somewhere into the air filter housing or tube running into the throttle body before you took the OEM filter out? If it did, there's no reason not to run it into the plugged hole of the Volant filter. I think the turbos are the only ones seeing the oil in the air box so I wouldn't worry about it getting into your TB.
