I tried taking off my door last night with no luck. Removed the 4 screws and the two from the door handles, but couldn't get the panel to come off. I even used a paint scraper to slide it under the paneling all the way around to see if anything was stuck, still nothing. I had messed around with the settings so the car doesn't automatically lock when it reaches the 10-20 mph speed (I forget the exact) and the problem didn't come back at all yesterday. It didn't happen today either, but now my locks won't work at all, completely dead. I tried getting the dash off, but didn't have any luck after removing the console and screws. I'm going to have to invest in the repair manual, but they didn't have any locally.

VK, take my advice and do this.
There are 4 screws holding the door panel to the door. Just look for them. Dont forget the one behind the door handle. After that, the door just Pops off. Start at the bottom, after you get it about halfway popped out, reach up and see if you can feel (or if you can see from underneath) a yellow connector that connects the door pin to the locking mechanism. After you pop that off, go ahead and Lift the door out of the door sill. Then you can see where the door lock switch is attached with 2 philips head screws. Remove that first. If you dont have the replacement already you can just put the door back on and let the wire hang out until you get the part. When you get the part (search the forums for some reliable places,) just plug the switch in, screw it back in, and reattach the door. If you need help, just email me and I can walk you through it.
