Now you see...I've noticed all those ads for dead pedals, but I thought they were just replacements for what was already there, using the factory mounts, if you will.

But all you need to do is screw the suckers on? I've felt the area where the dead pedal goes & it felt like foam underneath. Does screwing it directly into this material give it adequate strength?

And thanks for the clarification of the mounts!!
