1low, I don't think the 225's are too wide. [:I] Consider, the GT is 205/50 on a 6" rim. The 225 is only 20 mm (ie 3/4" ) wider on a rim that is 1-3/4" wider. I have 235/45's sitting on 7.5" rims waiting to go on & they look great!!! [8)]
