Best Cruising Day Yet!!
I just gotta share it.
I've been a Cruiser lover since they first came out, and an owner for over 2 years. But Saturday was, without a doubt, my best cruising day yet.
As part of the organizing team for Zoo Cruise II, we got to Stuart Bowman Chrysler in Asheboro Friday afternoon, and starting setting up. I noticed that they still had a red/black TE that I'd seen at one of our organizing meetings. Frankly I fell in love with the car and started talking numbers with the owner. We were able to put the numbers together and work a trade. They got the car inside and cleaned it up, so I could put it the show Saturday.
Saturday came and was a beautiful day. And for one day, we were a 2 Cruiser family! Put both in the show! We had 70 cars show-up and, this was the first major PT event that my whole family has been able to attend. We put the kids to work helping with raffle tickets, t-shirts and such, and the whole cruiser family "adopted" them. Everyone made them feel so welcome and part of things, they had a blast!
We took both cars for the caravan over the the Richard Petty Museum and it was something, Cruisers as far down the highway as you could see! Later Sat. evening we came back to the dealer for the Glow Show and awards. What a thrill when my name was called and the new Cruiser won 2nd place in Stock! Everyone hooted and carried on and got the whole family up for the award!
Thanks to everyone that was a part of it! It really doesn't get any better!
