I know your anxiety about snaping a stud, I did just that. I bought my bar used , so I had no instructions concerning torque. I cranked about 60 lbs and SNAP. I pulled out the strut and replaced the stud. talk about a pain in the tush! I have since found 25-30 lbs is correct.
