Default cruiser newbie

Hello all, I am a new cruiser owner! It is only a base model,5 speed manual, but I am having a great time with it so far. It is a seamist green color with the dark interior and we brought it home 2 days ago.

Our 2 dogs took their first ride in it yesterday. They loved riding in the back seat(on a mexican blanket of course to minimize the shedding). They were delagated to the rear of my Volvo wagon but now they can stick their heads out a window.

I picked out the cruiser because I have always liked their looks, and they seem so versitile in that I can still carry large items with minimal effort. I find the seats to be very comfortable and the car handles well.

I also like the small size. We have a narrow driveway (1920's house) and it is easy to manuver into and out of it. The lack of rear visibility while backing out was a bit uncomfortable at first, but I have already learned to look in the passenger side mirror and I cam see perfectly if I am going straight or not.

I have been reading the posts on this forum and plan on coming over to keep up on care and maintanence tips. I don't know if I will do much moding, but I am a lover of chrome. The dealer licsence frames have already been changed out for simple chrome frames, even though there is no plate yet. I also like the retro rims that are available, but will wait until my 15 inch tires wearout.
