Mine was a 91 five speed. I also had a 97 V8. The 91 was a much better car. They really cheapened the V8's. That's why I bought the PT. There was a fatal flaw in the V8 camshafts which would cause the cam gears to come loose and spin leaving the valves to meet the pistons so I got rid of it and got the PT. I don't regret it. I'm having a lot more fun with the PT GT. Unfortunately, while the 91 was one of my favorites, it was getting pretty long in the tooth. 160K and a lot of expensive things were happening to it. It needed $1K to get the air conditioning working again. Front and rear struts were on their way out and I was starting to hear expensive noises from the engine. I thought about keeping it for a project car but parts are getting hard to get. There are only a few places where you can get replacement parts. I also thought about pulling the engine and making it into a coffee table--It is a thing of beauty. But my wife shot that idea down so to make a long story short I sold it and got an 05 WRX, so now I have another car to help drive me to the poor house. I will probably regret it--Jay Leno predicts it will be a collector's car someday. CJJ
