My removed the rear badge on my wife's PT with waxed dental floss, then used a clay bar to get the glue from the badge off, that seemed to work pretty well. It's hard to tell unless you get up REAL close to see where it came off. You probably will need to polish or wax it afterwards. You might want to try it on a hot day in the sun so the glue will be a little soft. Just take your time in removing the badge, that will minimize the swirl marks. The silver paint should look pretty good I would think. Darker colors would probably show a fade or discoloration, with the paint under the badge being darker than the surrounding paint. http://www.msnusers.com/santacruzr/s...hoto&PhotoID=1
