Use common sense. if its uncomfortable for you, chances are its too cold to use the products. My products should never be used below freezing, shouldn't even be stored in those temps, it will cause a chemical reaction (see post of Cal Cruizer) MY products are designed to be applied in the sun. although I don't remcommend that.
