If you are in the back seat, looking forward, I think it makes sense to have both front seats look the same. The cargo nets are handy on both seats (especially for back seat passengers). Also, it's probably easier and cheaper to manufacture one type of seat back, rather than two different ones. It makes sense (at least to me) to have them match.
