IMHO, it's more than just a "quick detailer". It actually deposites a light coating of "paint sealant" on the car's surface (further protects/enhances the finish) and should only be used after washing the car. Just wipe on and wipe off--do not let it "set" like with paint sealant or car wax. A quick detailer can be used (without washing) to remove dust and light road film/dirt from the a car's surface to keep it looking good. I'll let the expert on the subject, turbomangt, respond so all receive correct information on the subject.
