I already replied to this topic but I have something to add. Just got back from visiting my son/grandson in Maryland. I stopped by a place called PTWAREHOUSE after I ordered a licence plate frame. While talking to Ira Kats, he asked me if I was having problems with the APC taillights (I have the carbon fiber ones). I told him about the small scratches which I thought was my only problem. He pointed out to me that the lower red lenses which stay on whenever the lights are on were melting. Sure enough I took a closer look and saw that both lower red lenses had thumb size dimples in them (for lack of a better word). He said the regular bulbs will completely melt the red lenses after a period of time. He told me of replacment LED bulbs that are brighter but do not give off any heat. I bought a pair (a little expensive at $12 each) but I like the looks of the taillights and wanted to keep them. Just a thought for the rest of you. Maybe with these new bulbs it won't get as hot inside the entire light and the rest of the problems (moisture/scratches) won't appear...but that's only a guess. The bulb part number is #50.4050D and I got them at www.ptwarehouse.com ....<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
