Yep, I snapped one of my studs off too. I was rotating the tires at 5K miles and, using a high quality torque wrench set at 100 ft lbs, it snapped off when I was tightening it. My mistake - I think - was cleaning the lug nuts and wheel mounting surfaces and leaving them very lightly greased. That allows the nuts to slide on the mounting surface too much and stretching the stud. The dealer replaced under warranty, but they were really surprised that the torque spec is 100 ft lbs. They recommended 80. I now torque them to 85 with no troubles.
