Thanks N/A never knew about clutches just thought my mechanic screwed up. As far as flush VS drain. It is a matter of money and overkill. The best is a flush with a new filter, followed by a flush, and least effective is a drain with filter. I did the last but did it at 30,000 miles with MOPAR ATF4. For years there was no flush and our ATF did just fine with drains new filters and coolers. Yes I know the new Trannys are much more sophisticated and new clean fluid is critical. I would not use anything but MOPAR fluid best is ATF5 if you can find it and willing to pay for it. Other fluid might be as good or even better but who knows?? AMSOIL and Redline make great products that they claim are compatible if anyone wants to try.
