I agree with rszapp1, I have the Michelin Hydro-Edge and I've put about 6500 miles on them and it's a vast improvement over the Badyears. I also have the whine between 45 & 55 and a little squeal in corners on hot pavement but on rain they are excellent. With a treadwear rating of 800, I'd expect more noise than I'm hearing. Maybe it's there and I've just been to too many ZZ Top concerts!
My granddaughter say's the Badyear's make excellent tire swings!
