ANY sustained noise for a legenthy period of time can cause hearing loss & tinnitus. I have both. A substantial hearing loss & severe tinnitus.
I used to be a stereo system installer & NEVER used hearing protection. As I never used it at the race track.
Just listening to headphones at a low volume, can cause hearing loss in certain frequencies.
If you are in your car with 144 dbl, that is just stupid. Not only will it cause hearing loss, it can cause MANY health issues. From loss of breath, to heart failure.
