I try to tell those who complain about car shows not to try dog shows. They would never last. In dog shows there is only one winner in each breed and only one male and one female can earn points towards their AKC Championship. Everyone else is a looser.
BTW --- Bonnie (CH Vogue's Woebgon Bonnie Miss) was the number thirteen Basset Hound in the country in 2004 with me, not a professional, showing her just in local shows. Some of you may remember that Bonnie, our miracle Basset, was near death a couple years ago due to a bad reaction to an antibiotic. Today she's doing great and you'd never know to look at her or to see her romp and play that she ever had anything wrong with her.
