The shift at redline in AutoStick mode is normal and unavoidable. The bogging down after the shift is NOT normal and should be fixed. You should be able to put the GT in AutoStick mode at a stop, feather the fuel in quickly but avoiding unnecessary wheel spin with the lousy stock tires, have it shift by itself at just about 6k then continue to pull hard. Just keep your foot into it while it is shifting. If you try to anticipate the shift and back off the throttle, the computer will get confused as to your intent. If you are using this approach, you have a problem. Unfortunately, it may be a computer problem.
If you are fortunate enough to have a good dealer, tell them it is bogging down when it autoshifts from first to second.
