I've seen K&N's on almost every single one of the race cars that run at our local track. I've seen them on everything from NHRA 7 sec mustangs to 15 sec bracket cars to 800 hp supras.
Not to mention have you seen the mustang guys that mount the turbo in the bumper... Why would they do that??? Why run all that extra pipe to put the inlet of the turbo in the front bumper of the car for a "ram air" effect??
But I guess you know better than a guy who puts a 1000 hp small block togather. In fact next time I see them running 8's out at the track I tell them how dumb they are to try and run cold air into the turbo.
