Nope. My 2001 had the plastic manifold as well.
If you guys really want to learn about PT's, I can help, but you have to actually pay attention.
Contrary to belief on this forum anyway, the plastic manifold has been on cars since the first year. It is not a "new idea" for 2005.

Wrong again on the "not faster than 2004 with stage 1".
You might want to dyno at some time, I can send you links on what a dyno is, how it works, and just how it will show you that Stage 1 on a 2004 will still fall sadly short of a factory 05 on 97 octane.
But then, you already knew that. I am only validating for you.
Checked the dealer sheets. No 2005 2.4 HOs were produced that had aluminum manifolds. I would have a talk with your dealer and find out why DC may have put a 2004 engine in your 2005 car.
I am betting there was a batch of them if early enough in the year. Someone had to pay a 10 hp price and get 10 hp less, I guess. Probably a few people.
Those silly Mexican technicians :>

Damn! Stop with the editing posts! You are wrong! Sorry! The 2005 Verts were really based on the 2004's and yes they did have an aluminum intake! And sorry, that's BS about the Stage 1 on 2005's. I've had a Stage 1 '04 PTGT for close to a year and I can tell the difference with the new '05! Close, but not exact! Don't tell me about dyno's and crap; I've been turning wrenches for 21 years and I'm only 33! I've used dyno's before all these "tuners" out there even knew what the hell a dyno was. And by the way, you the heck pumps 97 on a regular basis? You can't just drive to the local BP and pump it, so it's ridiculous to dyno on it.
Sorry dude. Do some more research before you post.
