I tend to agree. If you want to run good with the least amount of hastle, buy a factory Turbo. Hahn makes an excellent product but as everyone knows, the product is not smog legal in some states.

I've been running my Whipple Supercharger for near three years and the only major problem I've had with it is blowing more than my fair share of the "skinny" little belts which is a real pain in the a$$ to change. Whipple corrected their original design flaw. They came out with an upgrade kit for the PT Cruiser that includes a new face plate, idler, pulley, belt, and new motor mounts. Now, the belt travels over a second pulley and doesn't wobble at high RPM...it isn't as likely to break (?). Good for Whipple!

The PT Cruiser utilizes a speed-density fuel delivery system which works quite well. The only problem is the fuel system doesn't recognize the mass of air introduced by the Whipple supercharger and supercharger tends to lean out...in other words, it is starving for fuel. That's not so good!

Blowerworks, NJ makes a product called a "PT Fueler" which includes a special fuel pump and adjustable fuel regulator. By installing this product, you will increase fuel pressure subtantially but you will never lean-out. You can also downsize the auxliary injector to 16 lbs. which is great for overall fuel economy.

In my opinion, the Whipple is a nice little bolt on product and it will enable you to merge in and out of traffic with ease...it's fun! As I said earlier, if you're inclinded to want to go fast, the solution is simple. Buy a fast car! A PT Cruiser doesn't quite fill the bill. PTPink [8D]
