That's basically what I would do. Not alot of money involved but you will have peace of mind. The past few cars I've bought I also tell them not to prep the car, I'll just check it out before I sign the papers to make sure nothing appears to be wrong. I got a car one time and they must of had some that had no clue what to do and preped the car which ended up having tons of swirl marks. Wasn't happy
